The Investment Advisor is expected to cultivate prospects, transfer and build a client base, serve current Entrust clients, and provide Portfolio Administration and Investment Committee support.
The Investment Advisor Associate is responsible for maintaining a wow client experience regarding: 1) the cultivation of leads to attract new investment management business; 2) the nurturing of existing client relationships: 3) the articulation in the network/community of how Entrust Financial adds value by creating a better experience for all those with whom we work.

Knowledge/Experience:
Required:
- Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SalesForce. Knowledge of retirement plans, financial planning, customer service and compliance issues. Experienced with portfolio administration duties. *Knowledge of Charles Schwab Advisor Center is preferred. Ten years or more working as part of a wealth management team.
Education/Training:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience and attained the CFP® practitioner designation.
(CFP® designation must be achieved within one year of hire. Series 65/66 registered.)
Portfolio Administration:
- Administer incoming and outgoing funds as well as any internal account transfers Maintain daily data upload for ModestSpark Ensure daily trades are implemented correctly Review Schwab data upload daily, inform team of any major money movement Respond to all pertinent Schwab alerts Rebalance portfolios, when appropriate, coordinating with the Chief Investment Officer Regularly evaluate operational procedures and controls and present your proposals to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Provide general and technical service for all systems and technology that support investment strategies and financial advisors, such as the client portal, portfolio reporting and trading systems, and Schwab Advisor Center, among others Coordinate and audit quarterly client account billing and performance reporting Support the (COO) and Entrust team in other operational tasks as they arise Assist the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) with compliance data gathering, as needed
Investment Committee:
- Under the direction of the Investment Committee, provide research to help design, rebalance, and track performance of investment portfolios. Review composite return reports. Provide research and data needed for Investment Committee to supervise investment portfolios and fulfill due-diligence requirements. Schedule and take detailed notes of IC meetings and maintain IC file. Participate in investment manager due diligence, including the coordination of meetings with various investment managers as needed. Contribute to quarterly Market Commentary. Assist with creating and maintaining wealth plans for Entrust prospects.
Client Cultivation and Retention:
- Transfer existing book worth a minimum of $35M-$50M to Entrust’s management, within 6 months of hire. Cultivate these (transferred) relationships, including—if appropriate—formulating a Wealth Management Plan for each during their first year as clients of the firm. Each month, aim to develop 1 new qualified prospect with a minimum of $1 million of investable assets. Convert prospects into new client relationships and utilize Entrust’s wealth management process to onboard and subsequently maintain new clients. Aim to achieve one conversion per month in 2025. (Does not include transferred clients/assets.) Utilizing Entrust’s wealth management process, manage your existing clients and support the work of lead advisor/shareholder, Jen Bravo. Plan for and implement 1 out-of-office activity per week, such as–lunches, coffee dates, board meetings, networking events–and track each activity as you: Build familiarity with and attract interest in Entrust Financial. (Branding!) Cultivate connections with individuals who could become qualified investment
management clients and with individuals who serve as your strategic partners.
- Housekeeping: Document all interactions on SF; follow-up all interactions with next steps; submit all written materials to CCO for approval 24 hours before use. Schedule, prepare for and follow-up with notes: bi-weekly meetings with Entrust Principal(s). Initiate and cultivate Entrust Events that contribute to client retention and new client onboarding. Examples include: Monthly Women & Wealth Meeting and Annual Client Firm Wide Event.
