Our company is a rapidly growing, independent wealth management and financial planning practice in San Diego, CA (Rancho Bernardo) that serves successful business owners, executives, and high net worth individuals. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paraplanner/Associate Advisor to join our friendly and professional team and to grow with our firm. The Paraplanner/Associate Advisor plays a critical role, partnering with the Financial Advisor team to provide excellent service to each client and ensure that their financial, estate, and tax plans are implemented properly through coordination with a variety of financial and legal professionals. This position requires a self-motivated individual with critical-thinking skills, the ability to work under firm deadlines, collaborate and work in a team-driven environment and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience providing service to clients and advisors in a wealth management or financial services firm. We would like the candidate to possess the following:

The Paraplanner/Associate Advisor may be assigned a variety of tasks and special projects as needed, including but not limited to the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare client appointment agendas and propose action items for the servicing advisor’s review for the portfolio performance, financial plan update, and tax planning review meetings each year
- Attend client appointments, write up and assign to do items, and follow through on assignments to completion
- Send a summary of each appointment to the client listing the actions to be taken by our team and by the client at the end of each appointment
- Prepare financial plans from start to finish for new clients Keep the information in our technology systems up to date (Emoney, Orion, etc.)
- Answer phone calls and emails and route to appropriate team members as needed
Skills Required
- Computer and systems competency with skills including: Researching and communicating using web applications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, etc.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn industry standard applications such as XLR8/Salesforce, Laser App, DocuSign, Schwab, Emoney, Orion etc.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as needed
- Ability to provide outstanding service and relate well to people of all backgrounds
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and be accurate.
Qualifications:
- College graduate
- 2-5 years+ of experience in wealth management, financial services or related experience
- Prior experience in a Registered Investment Advisor firm is a plus
- CFP®, or CPA and PFS, designations are preferred
- Current Series 65 licensing is a plus
Salary range of $80-110K with comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision, 401(k) and discretionary profit-sharing plans. Salary depends on experience and qualifications/certifications.
All final candidates must pass a background/credit check and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requires a fingerprint card to be filed in the event you are offered and accept employment. This position requires adherence to an extremely strict confidentiality policy.
