Company Description: Located (just outside of Hilton Head Island) in Bluffton, SC, Oak Advisors, LLC (started in 2005) is a fee-only registered investment advisory firm that provides wealth management services including financial planning, investment advice, portfolio management, and performance monitoring. Our firm members are very active in the community. We are client service oriented and have very long-term relationships. The majority of our clients are retired but we have an increasing amount of clients building towards their retirement.

Seeking the Position of: Client Service Advisor

Duties and Responsibilities: Client Service advisors can expect to focus their work in the following areas:

  • Client relationship management, including ongoing and regular client contact and communications
  • Client service, including planning updates, portfolio changes and review
  • Complete new client and asset transfer paperwork, reports, check and money transfers and requests
  • Rebalancing Investment Portfolios, new asset implementation.
  • Representation of the firm at meetings with prospects and clients.
  • Research, analysis, and monitoring of approved list of mutual funds, ETF’s, stocks and bonds
  • Portfolio asset allocation, meeting preparation including investment analysis and reviews
  • Educate clients and staff on the firm’s investment strategies, conduct regular portfolio reviews which explains the client’s investment performance in the context of the appropriate strategy, portfolio changes, investment updates and new opportunity identification.
  • Utilize Junxure CRM to update and maintain client information

Qualifications: A client service advisor position typically requires the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in investment management and/or financial advisory services with a demonstrated ability to work servicing clients in investments and financial plannin
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;
  • Series 65 licensed

Essential Competencies/Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills to help clients define and reach their financial goals
  • Takes Initiative and acts proactively (anticipates problems and makes suggestions)
  • Interest, Expertise in investments, economics and financial planning and learns quickly
  • Excellent communication, listening and writing skills
  • Client-first attitude, strong work ethic
  • A team player and can take direction from multiple sources, organized, detail and multi-task oriented, manages time effectively
  • Desire/ability to work successfully in a small company environment
  • Must have the ability to explain sophisticated concepts in simple terms
  • Must demonstrate a positive and professional image at all times
  • Proficiency in Microsoft® Word, Excel, Outlook, spreadsheets as well as financial planning and overall technologically proficient. Knowledge of Junxure, Portfolio Center and Schwab Institutional a plus.
