Role

As a Financial Adviser, you will work in a collaborative role along with our senior Financial Advisers in delivering all aspects of financial management. The longer-term goal for this position is to work directly with clients, move into a senior adviser role, help develop new client relationships and potentially assume leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

1. Assist in the management of client investment portfolios including monitoring performance, recommending rebalancing activity and recommending other changes as needed.

2. Analyze client financial situations to help develop personalized financial plans.

3. Assist with preparing client tax returns and run tax projections throughout the year to assist with tax planning.

4. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies when interacting with clients and providing advice.

5. Provide support to senior advisers by preparing client reports, coordinating meetings, maintaining client information and other operational tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

1. A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in finance, economics or another business-related field.

2. A minimum of 3 years full-time experience with an investment management or accounting firm.

3. Current Certified Financial Planner designation or the ability to obtain it is required. The firm will pay for the training and testing necessary to achieve this.

4. Tax-related certifications – CPA, EA – a plus.

5. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

6. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and communicate with clients and staff both verbally and in written form.

7. Ability to work as part of a team, but also independently while working on assigned tasks.

8. Familiarity with financial planning and general office software. Experience with Orion, MoneyGuide Elite and Advisor Engine CRM a plus.

Salary will be determined based on the relevant experience of the candidate. Other aspects of total compensation include paid time off, health and dental benefits, quarterly cash bonuses, annual profit sharing and opportunities for equity participation in the firm. This position is primarily on-site but has the flexibility to work remotely on occasion.
