General Function:
Under direct supervision of the Sr. Manager, Talent Pipeline, this role is responsible for tactical execution of Talent Pipeline initiatives in support of the Workforce and Access strategic organizational priorities to grow and diversify the financial planning workforce. Programs this role will focus on include, but are not limited to, scholarships, Virtual Career Fairs, CFP Board Career Center, and CFP® Pro Career Studios (interactive webinar series).
Key Accountabilities:
- Assists the development and implementation of programs to assist aspiring CFP® professionals with completing the education and exam requirements for certification.
- Optimizes performance of the CFP Board Career Center to increase job seekers, job posts, and meet annual revenue goals.
- Supports technical setup and high-quality execution of CFP® Pro Career Studios, designed to assist career changers on their financial planning career journey.
- Supports successful execution of bi-annual virtual career fairs resulting in high satisfaction ratings from job seekers and employers.
Essential Functions:
- Supports implementation of current and future scholarship programs:
- In collaboration with the web development team, external partner, and sponsors, updates all scholarship application webpages.
- Manages the scholarships inbox and responds to all inquiries in a timely manner.
- Engages with scholarship awardees to prepare awardee documentation needed for award disbursement approval.
- As assigned, liaise with donors to develop and update policies and procedures for each program consistent with donor intent.
- Leads execution for all stages of scholarship programs, including application process, marketing of scholarships (in collaboration with Marketing and Communications department), application review, awardee selection and recognition, award distribution, and awardee database management.
- Recruits CFP® professionals and other relevant stakeholders to volunteer on the Scholarship Review Panel (SRP) and oversees review of applications and awardee recommendations.
- Tracks and reports on awardee progress toward CFP® certification, in collaboration with the IT team.
- Supports the management and growth of the CFP Board Career Center & Career Fairs
- Engages with external career center partners to optimize annual revenue, number of job seekers, and number of job posts.
- Manages the career center inbox and responds to all inquiries in a timely manner.
- Project manages twice-annual Virtual Career Fairs, including partnering with internal and external stakeholders to grow revenues, internships and experience-generating job posts, and job seeker attendees.
- In collaboration with marketing and external agency teams, optimizes marketing efforts to achieve program KPIs.
- Serves as lead point of support for exhibitors at virtual career fairs.
- Tracks and reports on weekly progress towards career center and career fair KPIs.
- Supports setup and execution of all CFP® Pro Career Studios to achieve targeted KPIs, in collaboration with internal teams, volunteers, and technology partners.
- Engages with internal and external partners to ensure data and reporting of talent pipeline programs is accurate and up to date.
- Leverages latest workforce development research, data, and trends, and provides insights to internal and external stakeholders for positive business impact by contributing to or disseminating articles and webinars.
- Develops appropriate communication, presentations and marketing collateral in support of Talent Pipeline initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Background/Skills/Abilities Required or Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, marketing, communications, higher education, or related field.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of work experience providing programmatic support, leading initiatives or projects, and partnering with staff in the development and implementation of new strategies.
- Experience in talent acquisition and workforce development preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with the financial planning profession and financial services preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrated success assessing and communicating impact of initiatives against goals.
- Demonstrated success building relationships and using interpersonal skills to solve problems and drive results.
- Highly skilled in adaptability, critical thinking and collaboration.
- Excellent writer with strong proofreading and editing skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
- Ability to handle numerous projects at any given time and deliver outstanding finished product(s) in a timely manner.
- Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

CFP Board is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The applicable starting annual base salary is anticipated to be in the range of $63,500.00 to $75,000.00. In addition to base salary, total compensation includes incentive compensation for which employees are eligible based on completion of individual goals.
