Company

Delta Community Credit Union is a cooperative, owned and operated by its members. This is what distinguishes the Credit Union from other financial institutions. Members put their money in a variety of savings accounts, and that money, in turn, is lent to members. After operating expenses and reserve requirements are met, loan income is returned to all members in the form of dividends and comprehensive financial services. We're governed by a Board of Directors that establishes and reviews policy. The Directors are credit union members who are elected by members and serve without pay. Every member has one vote, regardless of how much money he or she has on deposit. Delta Community CU is a financial institution with over $3.5 billion in assets. Our mission is to provide quality and fairly-priced financial services to our members. We're a state-chartered credit union, organized under the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance and federally-insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund. The insurance fund is managed by the National Credit Union Administration. Delta Community CU believes strongly in the credit union philosophy of "people helping people". Delta Community participates in national and local fundraisers. We're sponsors of Children's Miracle Network through Credit Unions for Kids as well as the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in the communities we serve. Credit Union staff members volunteer their time to ensure the success of these fundraisers. Delta Community Credit Union is an active sponsor of several Chambers of Commerce. Through these relationships with local businesses, we're able to promote community growth and involvement. We're also proactive in reaching young savers through our Partners in Education program. This is a partnership between our community branches and nearby schools that provides opportunities to share our time, ideas and experience. Our Purpose: Enabling Well-Lived Financial Lives Delta Community Credit Union exists to help families reach a level of financial awareness and stability that affords them the peace of mind and time to enjoy a richer life.
