Responsibilities and Time Allocation- Will change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor.
Position Functions:

Meet and greet clients upon arrival for meetings or ad-hoc requests.
Answer questions and provide readily available information to clients, if requested and as allowable, as it relates to servicing their accounts.
Maintain files and records in accordance with the records retention policy.
Work with home office to ensure accurate account setup and resolve issues as necessary.
Help support financial plan construction, review and case opportunity suggestions.
- Work alongside Financial Advisors to create client presentation deliverables and pre/post meeting communications.
- Track and monitor client financial planning arrangements, billing and due dates. Perform other allowable duties as assigned by the Financial Advisors.
Development plan toward becoming an Associate Financial Advisor:
- Focus on developing your technical, sales and leadership skills with the existing Financial Advisors through mentorship conversations in order to move toward an Associate Financial Advisor on the team.
- Shadow client meetings and case prep/analysis for clients with lead Financial Advisor and Associate Advisor on the team to learn best practices.
- Participate in the Ameriprise Development Training Program, which will focus on additional sales training techniques.
- Focus on providing exceptional client service for our existing client base within the established Financial Advisors’ books.

Education requirements and other designations:
- College degree or higher
- Already have Series 7, Series 66, and NJ Life, Accident and Health Insurance licenses
- Professional Designations Desirable, over time
Compensation

$40,000 starting base salary. Ability for higher starting base commensurate with experience.
Medical after 60 day waiting period.
401(k) with match. Eligible after 1 year of service.
The primary compensation for this role will be stable base salary initially. As the individual grows and develops their skills as an Associate Financial Advisor, there will be the opportunity for increased compensation growth of variable incentive pay based on the growth of your individual client base. An offer will be made based on experience and situations.
