Job Description

II. MISSION
The Financial Planner at ProVise Management Group is an integral part of our team serving as the connection between our clients, support team, and advisors. This great communicator, influencer and enthusiastic person will support the vision, positive culture, and team spirit.
The Financial Planner provides technical financial planning and investment analysis. They will work with other professional planners in the firm including Senior Financial Planners, Managing Financial Planners and ProVise Principals. They also make decisions on client plans, investment recommendations, operational processes and procedures and client affairs.
They have obtained the proper licensing and experience to work directly with clients. The primary responsibility is managing and supporting a growing group of client relationships, and providing the ProVise client experience.
III. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Client and Advisory Engagement
- Directly manages a group of clients to best support their financial, investments and risk outcomes.
- Responsible for client retention and developing deeper relationships with our clients.
- Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution to solve client or operational problems and is accountable and held responsible for those decisions.
- Collaborates to build financial plans and investment proposals
- Proactively identifies concerns, problems or opportunities within client relationship.
- Provides guidance and expert advice to the team and clients, on technical financial planning and investment planning needs, systems, or process-related topics.
- Requires an in-depth understanding of time value of money: present value, future value, annuity payments, internal rate of return, as well other financial planning modeling scenarios
- Engages and prepares client onboarding requirements.
- Ensures client data is captured in the meeting and compiled in the firm’s financial planning software, CRM, and other related software applications.
- Works directly with clients as primary as well as secondary point of contact in the advisory team.
- Starts to develop relationships in the community with centers of influence and philanthropic organizations.
COMPLIANCE
- Supports Compliance to maintain an effective and robust investment advisory compliance program
IV. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Experience and Education
- A bachelor’s degree
- CFP® required
- Series 65 required (waived with CFP®)
- Ideally 2-6 years of experience in a in a direct advisory capacity in financial services
- Experience with Securities, Financial Planning, Investments, and Insurance required
- Experience dealing directly with clients on all financial planning matters even in challenging times
Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
- Proficient in financial planning analysis and modeling
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in Junxure CRM preferred
- Knowledge of Broker Dealer and Investment Advisory Regulations a plus
- Demonstrates personal integrity, honesty and ability to deal with confidential information
- Ability to deal with stress in an ever-changing investment market and financial services
- Excellent time management and strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential problems
