ABOUT THE POSITION
A great fit for the paraplanner role is someone who is detail-oriented, resourceful, and interested in becoming a financial advisor. They have a natural ability to gather and review data, set clear priorities, and find practical solutions to problems. This person works well with processes, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time. The person is great at listening and empathizing with clients and their needs. They demonstrate a strong passion and interest in helping women build wealth
The candidate needs to be located in Atlanta, GA. The working arrangements will be on a hybrid schedule, with ~3 days in-person in Buckhead and remaining days working from home. The initial onboarding period may require more days in the office for training and collaboration.

We are a fee-only RIA founded in the NYC area and now HQ in Atlanta, GA. The majority of our clients are in the NY tri-state area with the remaining in other cities across the country. Our clients are high-achieving top-earners in their 30’s to 50’s. We want to be the absolute best firm for clients in this segment and we are building a team that strives to be top-tier in our industry.
You’ll be working directly with the founder, so you will be involved in every aspect of the business from operations to financial planning. No task will be too big or small. We use a modular approach to take our clients through financial planning and project management skills are required and highly valued.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Shadowing lead financial advisor and assisting in the management of client relationships and fulfillment of financial plans and advice
- Learning how to serve business owner clients and clients with equity compensation
- Collect, review, and organize data gathered from clients
- Prioritize and enter client information into our financial planning software, templates, and CRM
- Produce initial draft of financial plans and client deliverables
- Field basic and general financial planning questions from clients
- Develop, research, and implement new processes and procedures for fulfilling advice-giving functions
- Ability to fill in client service and operations functions in the absence of the Client Service Associate
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of financial planning and investment strategies
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years working in financial services or advisory firms
- Bachelor's Degree in Financial Planning or Related Major
- Actively pursuing the CFP designation or willingness to obtain the Series 65 within 6 months
- Proactive communicator, self-starter and excellent at project management and following assignments through to completion
- You are passionate about helping women build and maintain wealth
- You live within reasonable commuting distance of Buckhead (Atlanta) or are willing to relocate for the role (relocation support available)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Our vision is to be able to pay as close to market compensation for each and every role in the firm. While we have the constraints of a smaller firm, we expect things to progress rapidly.
- Cash Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 (DOE) Base Salary
- Quarterly bonuses based on overall firm and individual performance
- Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance coverage after 90-day period (through FPA)
- Retirement Plan: 3% Non-elective employer contribution to 401k after 90 days of employment
- Health Reimbursement Arrangement via QSEHRA for up to $400/month
- Professional Development Budget - Lead advisor will co-curate your development plan and the firm will sponsor your training and participation in courses, conferences, and other CE as appropriate for your role
- 2 weeks of annual vacation time (increases with tenure) plus NYSE holidays + extra PTO from ~Dec 20th to Jan 2nd (annually), in total a minimum of 26 paid days off per year
- A company laptop with necessary software and accessories (For data security reasons, we expect you to do firm work using firm tools) - any tools issued to you belong to the firm
- You’ll be trained and mentored by the firm owner, Kaya Ladejobi
- 1-month paid summer sabbatical provided after every 5 years of service
- Half-day Fridays in June and July
