We are an independent financial planning firm located in the heart of a growing Mint Hill, NC. Retirement and income planning is not all we do but it is our focus. We are hiring a motivated junior financial advisor to be a key team player in supporting our senior advisors.
We are looking for a team member that will be responsible for:
- Building and maintaining solid relationships with clients.
- Assisting with new and existing employer sponsored retirement plans.
- Assisting senior advisors with review, financial plan and investment strategy creation, recommending suitable investment products, monitoring investment portfolios, analyzing financial products, constructing portfolios, managing models and placing trades.
- Gathering client data, including risk tolerance and financial goals; inputting client data into financial planning program.
- Providing clients with ongoing financial advice and guidance.
- Collaborating with client’s tax advisors, legal professionals, and estate planners.
- Staying updated with market trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes and being driven to learn new things.
- Participating in staff meetings and other team client service discussions.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field
- Series 7/63/65 – or ability to attain within 90 days of hire.
- 2+ years’ experience in financial services
- Understanding of financial markets and investment products.
- Integrity, ethical conduct, adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Exceptional verbal/written communication skills – with clients and coworkers.
- Excellent people skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
- Strong analytics - with quick decision-making and results-oriented mindset.
- Accountability; work under minimal supervision; accept constructive advice.
- Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking.
- Team player.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or working on process to obtain.
- Insurance (life/health) licensed.
- Experience with industry and firm specific systems (Redtail, LPL Clientworks, Albridge, Income Lab, DST Vision, Morningstar Advisor, Nitrogen, etc.)
