Responsible for delivering comprehensive client service support. Analyzes financial situations by collecting, monitoring, and studying data, recommending actions for client portfolios, and proactively communicating with team members and managers. Candidate will be learning from portfolio managers and advisors with the eventual goal of full client service responsibilities in addition to overall portfolio management.


Duties and responsibilities


Client Service (new and existing):


  • Supports Managing Partners/Managing Directors with client service efforts relating to analyzing, trading, recommending allocation changes in accordance with the firm’s and clients’ investment objectives; monitors performance measurements and client reporting
  • Ensures timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Collaborates with portfolio management team and trade associate on a regular basis to ensure management of client portfolios reflects individual preferences, and well-informed decisions are made based on client expectations and models
  • Assists in development of marketing materials and external investment communications


Market Research:


  • Partners with analyst team to maintain a working knowledge of economic and market conditions; and utilizes tools provided by research staff to communicate conditions to clients
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of economic and market conditions and provides verbal commentary
  • Develops relationships with existing fund contacts
  • Monitors and reviews client portfolios daily
  • Analyze potential client portfolios and provide recommended adjustments
  • Maintains thorough understanding of trading systems (Bloomberg, RedBlack, MorningStar, WealthScape)



Qualifications / Requirements


Minimum qualifications include:

  • BS in Finance/Economics or related degree; MBA preferred
  • 4 plus years of work experience in client-facing investment and/or financial industry
  • Self-motivated; works hard and follows through
  • Performs high-quality, accurate work
  • Effectively organizes, prioritizes, communicates and manages workflow and meets deadlines
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills 
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
