About the Position

The position involves integrating multiple activities such as client service support, investment process compliance, and serving as a client relationship manager in conjunction with Wealth Advisors.

 

Specific elements of the job include:

  • Assist financial advisors by providing client service and implementation support
  • Demonstrate seasoned judgment by handling clients with a high degree of professionalism, empathy, care and confidentiality
  • Manage daily client transactions and inquiries accurately, within established deadlines, and in accordance with existing firm policies and procedures
  • Monitor and rebalance client portfolios per Sapient’s Investment Committee direction
  • Manage general account inquiries and maintenance, including but not limited to transactions, holdings, balance, address changes and signer changes. Coordinate and follow through on account inquiries, transaction and maintenance requests. Some of these duties include:
    • Opening accounts and processing paperwork
    • Processing the movement of funds and securities
    • Scheduling appointments for clients, assist in client meeting preparation, participate in client meetings, record notes of client interaction, and implement any follow-up actions necessary
  • Follow compliance procedures and file maintenance
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of client’s financial plans
  • Coordinate with client’s CPA, Attorneys, and other financial providers as necessary
  • Collaborate with and support team members
  • Additional firm project related activities

 



 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Strong undergraduate record, preferably with Finance or Accounting focus
  • Demonstrated interest and knowledge in financial reporting and statement analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Sensitivity to and experience in working with clients or relationship management is desirable, perhaps developed through prior experience in a customer oriented business
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn all aspects of private wealth management along with ability to multi-task in an entrepreneurial and team-based environment
  • Skills in using a full suite of professional software including presentations, word processing and financial spreadsheets are required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and activities at one time

Upon hiring it is expected this position will involve preparing for the NASD Series 65 exam, the Series 7 license is not required. Additional educational expectation could include attaining the CFP and/or similar designations.
