The financial planning team is responsible for plan development, case consultation, and overall adoption of the financial planning process across the wealth management unit. These individuals must possess strong analytical and technical skills, and deep knowledge of financial planning. These skills are combined with a strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with advisors and team members in a sales environment.

As a member of this team, you will play a critical role in the long term success of our advisors and the clients they serve.  

Required Skills

Plan Development and Case Consultation

Must possess the skills, experience and technical expertise to effectively consult with and support advisors on comprehensive financial planning creation, case analysis and delivery including:

  • Embrace the financial planning process and core competencies
  • Develop, write, and prepare modular and comprehensive financial plans for advisors
  • Provide team focused virtual support to a national field of independent advisors
  • Provide subject matter expertise in financial planning areas of investments, tax planning, risk management and personal financial planning
  • Communicate effectively,both orally and in writing, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Coach advisors through client presentation strategies and best practices
  • Mentor peers on the planning team

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years financial planning experience required
  • Experience with financial planning software programs. Use of eMoney preferred
  • Knowledge of advanced financial planning concepts and strategies
  • NASD Series 7, 66 (or 63 & 65) registrations, or obtain within 6 months
  • Licenses for life, health & disability insurance, or obtain within 6 months
  • CFP® designation required
