VWG Wealth Management is seeking to add a Financial Planner to its growing 14-person team. The Financial Planner will work closely with VWG clients to understand their current financial situation by preparing and/or updating financial plans and providing recommendations to achieve short- and long-term financial goals.  The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with analytical problem-solving skills.


  • Manage and oversee financial planning process for all VWG Wealth Management and its clients
  • Serve as primary point of contact for gathering and inputting client financial information needed to construct financial plans
  • Assess client’s overall financial picture, developing various scenarios and recommending appropriate solutions based on client’s situations and goals
  • Prepare client deliverables and participate in client review meetings
  • Work closely with lead advisor to obtain feedback on financial plans to ensure comprehensive financial plans are completed accurately
  • Keep current on financial planning topics such as: wealth transfer strategies, complex retirement needs, education planning, tax planning and other relevant topics
  • Responsible for full functionality and handling of financial planning software
  • Cultivate client relationships and proactively schedule and conduct annual financial plan reviews
  • Continuously monitor client’s financial situation with detail
  • Collaborate with VWG team to deliver exceptional advice with focus on accuracy, timeliness and accountability for client’s future

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to organize data and manage the planning process
  • Comfortable speaking with clients and showing high level of expertise in financial planning process
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Familiarity with retirement analysis, estate-planning analysis, education-funding, risk management needs
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once while completing necessary analysis on each


Job Experience

  • 5 years experience in financial planning and/or wealth management industry



  • CFP and FINRA Series 65 License preferred
  • Knowledge of eMoney or Money Guide Pro a plus
