               We are searching for a Paraplanner to play a vital role in continued client engagement, firm growth, and overall team success.  We are ranked in the top 200 of our network of 12,000+ advisors nationally, but our pride comes from operating at a very high level while maintaining a collaborative, family-oriented, driven, and close-knit team culture.

Primary responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with Financial Planner:

  • Review and analyze client financial statements, legal documents, and other data, as applicable
  • Complete a performance evaluation of accounts and prepare reallocation suggestions, if appropriate
  • Prepare summaries of:
    • Client goals and objectives
    • Client financial strengths and weaknesses
    • Client present financial situation
  • Prepare inancial planning recommendations for the client, to include:
    • Summaries of financial planning techniques
    • Calculations of client risk management needs
    • Calculations of client liquidity and survivor’s income needs in the event of a premature death
    • Alternative proposals
  • Assist in implementing financial plans and completing client paperwork/applications, including:
    • Prepare final reports, analyses, or proposals (with the Advisor’s directions) for presentations to client
    • Complete portions of paperwork
    • Execute trading functions as necessary


  • Conduct review meetings with clients to identify any changes to life or economic conditions, situational concerns, or financial performance that may necessitate changes in their current plan or present new opportunities
  • Perform basic factfinding with new and potential clients when/as appropriate to determine: cash flow, income, insurance coverage, financial objectives, tax status, risk tolerance, or other information needed to develop a financial plan
  • Contact prospects or clients to:
    • Arrange meetings
    • Answer general questions about financial planning, client account(s), and the practice
    • Gather all necessary information from a client for a financial plan analysis
  • Strengthen client relationships to:
    • Grow business revenue through additional referrals
    • Maintain current client relationships
    • Enhance client experience

Requirements for Success: 

  • Certified Financial PlannerTM certification preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-3 years of experience in financial planning/advising is preferred
  • Must be licensed in Life and Health insurance, FINRA Series 6 (Series 7 and 63 are also preferred)
  • Knowledge of mutual fund, securities, and insurance industries
  • Willingness to pursue additional licensure, certifications, and credentials as necessary
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • A positive outlook and a long-term mindset
  • Collaborative temperament with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial atmosphere which requires self-motivation, taking ownership of work, creativity, and flexibility
  • Possesses a true desire for growth – personally, professionally, and to help the business succeed


 Desired Skills:

  • Superior technical skills and a comfort level with financial planning software (e.g. eMoney) and investment analytical tools (e.g. Morningstar Workstation)
  • Commitment to providing superior customer service through attention to detail and the quality of each interaction (written or verbal)
  • Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills (including presentation and interpersonal skills)
  • Ability to communicate persuasively and effectively to a wide range of customers
  • Proven sales ability
  • Independently resourceful – able to identify and leverage resources for maximum efficiency and client experience
