One of the largest independent investment advisory firms in Central Texas is seeking to add a Portfolio Manager to our team. This position provides direct support to our team of investment professionals which is responsible for the daily review and oversight of client allocation and performance. Our wealth management division is seeking a relationship-oriented individual to serve as a Portfolio Manager to help protect, preserve, and grow wealth responsibly for our clients. The ideal candidate will partner with our clients to understand their objectives, provide pertinent research and analysis, and identify solutions to their evolving investment needs. This candidate works closely with our investments team to help articulate the firms’ investment strategies to our clients. He or She would have a proven background in finance paired with a clear and concise communication ability helping to simplify complex topics for individuals as well as groups.   • Eager to participate and add value in firm projects and initiatives including investment meetings
  • The ability to consistently deliver promised results in a timely manner




Job Duties

  • Collaboratively work with clients, prospects as well as all areas of the firm
  • Create asset allocation recommendations based on Sendero’s tactical allocation targets and clients’ needs
  • Attend and participate in client meetings as well as building client relationships
  • Assist in the Sendero Guidance Process with clients
  • Provide pertinent research and financial analysis, and identify solutions to client’s investment needs
  • Own monthly financial modeling and database management responsibilities such as IPS targets and portfolio monitoring to proactively identify issues and opportunities
  • Assist the firm in responding to Request for Proposals
  • Oversee as well as participate in client on-boarding process
  • Responsible for making sure that the client request and needs are executed in a timely manner
  • Review and re-balance portfolios when appropriate
  • Ability to successfully field in-dept investment-related questions on a broad range of equity-related topics
  • Drive various firm and client related special projects and requests
  • A strong understanding of risk statistics and various other portfolio measurement tools will be utilized to verify accuracy of investment strategies and benchmark performance
  • Develop a passion for understanding global markets with the ability to explain and simplify complex ideas
  • Attend marketing and business-related events as necessary and/or required


Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Envestnet Tamarac and/or other performance systems
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg and/or FactSet
  • Presentation skills in front of individuals and groups


Education and Experience

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree preferred in business-related field (accounting, finance, economics, risk management, data analytics, data science or mathematics)
  • Minimum of 7 years of investment related experience
  • Series 65 license required
