Cardinal Pointe Financial Group, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., has an opening for an Associate Financial Advisor for their office located at 408 Blankenbaker Parkway, Louisville, KY 40243. This full-time exempt position supports advisors in a team practice by working directly with existing clients to provide service and maintain excellent client relationships. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as a Relationship Manager for an existing group of clients by providing advice and guidance to help clients achieve their goals. Help to grow the business by increasing assets under management with the existing book of business and through organic growth by acquiring new clients. Identify financial planning needs and discuss the benefits of comprehensive financial planning with clients. Interact with clients by phone and/or in person to update the client’s profile, confirm risk tolerance, investment timeframe and target asset allocation. Determine asset allocation and review investment performance of overall portfolio and individual account holdings. Identify rebalancing needs and recommend suitable investment options that agree with the client’s risk tolerance, timeframe and goals. Review existing Life, Long Term Care and/or Disability insurance policies to determine if the policies still meet client needs. General Duties: Prepare for and conduct client meetings. Follow-up after the meeting will include providing trade instructions (i.e., stock/mutual fund buy/sell orders, money movement, distributions, systematic arrangements, monthly payouts, etc.) to be processed by support staff, entering detailed meeting notes in the client’s record in Contact Manager, completing Managed Account Reviews as necessary, requesting new investment account applications, beneficiary forms and other forms be sent to the client, responding to client requests from call-ins and performing problem-solving for client issues.

Five years of experience with a financial services firm offering investment management and comprehensive financial planning services. Four-year college degree, FINRA Series 7, Series 66 and State Life & Health licenses required. Knowledge and experience working with core investments, managed products, life/disability/long term care insurance products, fixed and variable annuities. Candidate must be professional, dependable, is able to work in a team environment and possesses strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook). |
